Nebraska Hoops Elite is a dedicated basketball program for underserved girls in grades 9-12, with a focus on BIPOC. Our mission is to provide a platform for events, player resources, and player registration. Join us in creating a community that nurtures talent and fosters growth in basketball.

Executive Director / Coach
LATRELL WRIGHTSELL SR
Latrell Wrightsell Sr. is a seasoned basketball professional with over 40 years of experience as a player and coach. A former Division I athlete at Creighton University (1988-1992), he has dedicated more than 25 years to coaching AAU boys’ and girls’ basketball programs. Since 2015, he has led the NHE Girls AAU basketball program, developing young student-athletes and fostering a culture of excellence both on and off the court. As Executive Director of Nebraska Hoops Elite, Wrightsell continues to shape the next generation of basketball talent through mentorship, skill development, and competitive training.

Rachelle Tucker
Rachelle Tucker is a dedicated leader in North Omaha, Nebraska with a strong passion for empowering girls in sports. A former Division I athlete at Wichita State University, she has spent over a decade coaching AAU girls’ basketball programs. Since 2016, she has overseen operations for the NHE Girls AAU basketball program, ensuring its success through strategic leadership, mentorship, and skill development. Tucker’s commitment to fostering growth both on and off the court continues to impact and inspire young female athletes.

Kelvin Crandell
Kelvin Crandell is a highly experienced basketball coach and mentor with over 40 years of coaching AAU boys’ and girls’ basketball programs. A former Division I athlete at Grambling State University, he has dedicated his career to developing young athletes and preparing them for success at the next level. Since 2019, he has been an integral part of the NHE Girls AAU basketball program, bringing his expertise and passion for youth development. Crandell is committed to guiding student-athletes in their pursuit of higher education and athletic excellence.
